TORRI is a specialist in the design of honeycomb automated warehouses. This type of structures is mainly used to store long products, such as pipes, aluminum profiles, metal formed elements, etc.

This warehouse has been TORRI’s answer to the client’s need for a flexible and efficient system for storing and picking extruded plastic and aluminum profiles for mosquito netting. The self-supporting clad-rack system was designed to integrate with the material-flow from the warehouse to the adjacent production facility. Our technical partner, Remmert GmbH from Löhne in Germany, who supplied and installed the automatic stacker crane and the picking modules could count on timely and organized delivery of the racking components as well as on a safe assembly process.

The metal structure of the racking, over 15 meters high, supports walls and roof sandwich panels and features large front windows. The storage capacity is 1.020 load units with dimensions of 1.025 x 865 x 6.800 mm and a weight of 1.000 kg, arranged in 17 levels.

In full compliance with the TORRI design philosophy, this large warehouse was also sized in full compliance with the local anti-seismic regulations and is built to withstand additional external loads from wind and snow. The quality of the project, carried out with the technical partner Remmert GmbH, is highlighted by the fact that Lämmermann has decided to build a new warehouse with the same suppliers during 2026.
